Is there anyone God cannot save?
The answer to this question is no. There is no one whom God cannot save by his grace and for his glory. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3; 23). It is for this reason, that God took on a human nature in addition to his divine nature, that he might save us through the sacrifice of himself.
There is no one who is beyond God's saving power. Jesus Christ came on earth to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19; 10). No matter how wretched and sinful Man was, yet he stooped so low in order to save the lost for himself.
Faith is the only means of salvation
No one who comes to God on the basis of faith in Christ Jesus will ever be cast out. In the book of John, it is written: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16). Whoever that exercises saving faith in Christ will be saved eternally. Faith in Christ is the only necessary ingredient for salvation.
Paul wrote in his epistle to the Ephesians saying: For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them (Ephesians 2; 8-10). Before, we were sinners, we lived a wanton lifestyle, but God was gracious towards us, in that he saved us by grace through faith in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Romans, the apostle wrote: "That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed." For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10; 9-13).
Once you believe from the depth of your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again on the third day, and you confess him as your Lord and Savior, you shall be saved. No matter how deep you may have fallen into sin, just call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Christ came because we could not save ourselves, just believe and you will be saved, and the benefits of his redemptive work will be credited into your account. Faith in Christ Jesus as the only means of salvation is ubiquitous throughout the pages of the scriptures, both the old and new testaments.
Paul's conversion, a proof that God can save anyone
Apostle Paul before his conversion, he was a self righteous Pharisee and a wicked man, until he had a divine encounter with the Lord. Look at how the apostle magnified the grace of God in his salvation, in these words: I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life (1 Timothy 1:12-16).
Paul in his unregenerate state, he persecuted the church, consented for some of them to be put to death, like Stephen (Acts 8; 1). But despite his wicked ways, God still showed him mercy and saved him by his grace and for his glory. After his conversion, he became a useful vessel in the hands of the Lord. Through him, the lives of many were literally transformed. Paul's conversion is a manifested proof that there is no one whom God cannot save.
Peradventure if you are not yet saved, and as you are reading this article, you might be wondering what you can do for God to save you. The only answer is to believe in the salvific work of Christ, believe in his death and resurrection and acknowledge him as your Lord and Savior and you shall be saved. If you are an idolater, a murderer, a thief, an homosexual, a self righteous person, Jesus can save you today. Call on him from the bottom of your heart and you shall be saved. There is no one who is beyond the reach of God's saving power and that includes you.
What about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?
Matthew 12:31-32
"Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
From the context, Jesus was saying that whoever that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven. Due to a wrong understanding of what Jesus meant by what he said, many people thinks that when you speak against the holy Spirit, God will not forgive you in this life and that which is to come. According to them, those who commits blasphemy against the holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this life and in the afterlife.
The biblical definition for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit means attributing the works of Jesus by the Spirit to demons. When Jesus was on earth, those that spoke against his works, by attributing his miraculous deeds which he performed by the power of the Holy Spirit to demons, is what is known as the blasphemy of the holy Spirit. Jesus didn't heal the sick, cast out devils, raised the dead by the power of Beelzebub, but was done by the power of the Holy Spirit. So ascribing his wonder working power by the Spirit to demons is what is called the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, a sin which will not be forgiven in this life and that which is to come. In our time, no one can commit this sin, why? Because, Jesus is not physically present with us here on earth to ascribe his miraculous deeds to demonic powers. Modern day sin which will not be forgiven in this life and in that which is to come, is to die without a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
I beseech you, if you have not yet trusted in Christ for salvation, this is the time and hour, call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved once and for all time (Romans 10; 13). God bless you
